The Bulgarian Energy Holding announces a competition for the election of one member of the Supervisory Board of the Electricity System Operator. This member will also be a representative of the state in the company, it is clear from the invitation. In order to be admitted to the competition, candidates must have at least five years of professional experience or at least five years of a person holding a managerial position or a member of a management and control body of a public enterprise or company, it is clear from the invitation.
The competition will be in two stages and the first is the selection of documents of the participants. The second stage is a written interview in which the candidate must present his concept for the development of the company. The approved candidates will appear for an oral interview with the nomination commission of BEH. The new ESO Supervision expert will then be appointed.
The information about the invitation also states that ESO ends with a profit of 2020, which increases to BGN 56.3 million. Revenues from operating activities reached BGN 616.7 million, and expenses amounted to BGN 560.3 million at the end of last year.
The main priority in the activity of ESO EAD is the development and implementation of projects and activities aimed at optimally connecting the Bulgarian electricity market with the regional and European markets, thus fulfilling the basic European goals - unification and integration of the markets, on the one hand and increasing energy security, on the other.
In this direction are the actions taken for unification with neighboring market areas on the stock market day ahead and stock market within the day, as well as the full Bulgarian participation in the efforts to create regional mechanisms of network operators for balancing electricity systems.
We remind you that the procedure for electing members of the ESO Supervisory Board is currently underway. Plamen Radonov, Evden Nikolov, Ivan Yotov, Lachezar Dimitrov and Georgi Nakov were admitted to the second stage of the procedure a month ago. Petar Petrov, Kostadin Yazov and Plamen Radonov currently work in the Supervisory Board of the company.
