Bulgaria's admission to the eurozone is the next major priority after full Schengen membership from 1 January 2025. The last criterion for this, namely price stability, is yet to be fulfilled. This was stated at the beginning of today's government meeting by Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

To his wishes for a healthy and successful year for all Bulgarian citizens, the Prime Minister added those for stability, invariably associated with a stable, regular government.

He commented that the work of the caretaker cabinet in the three areas set out at the beginning - holding fair and transparent elections, continuing the work on Bulgaria's accession to Schengen and the Eurozone, as well as resolving the problems of Bulgarian citizens - is being carried out punctually. Glavchev emphasized that the good organization of the elections was also noted in the report of international observers, and our full acceptance into the Schengen area is proof that the caretaker cabinet managed to complete in the best possible way the long-standing efforts of the previous governments.

As for solving citizens' problems, the Prime Minister commented that all issues that arise are resolved promptly and without excuses, saying that the cabinet is official.
