The planned annual overhaul of the sixth unit of the Kozloduy NPP has been completed

On November 23, 2024, the planned annual overhaul of the sixth power unit of the nuclear power plant was completed and after an inspection by the Nuclear Regulatory Agency at 10:07 a.m. the unit was included in the country's electricity system.

During the outage, which began on October 19, 2024, the activities planned for the overhaul campaign were completed, as well as the planned measures related to increasing safety and long-term operation. The reactor of the sixth unit has been reloaded with fresh nuclear fuel for the next fuel campaign.

The necessary tests and inspections confirming the operability and reliability of the facilities have also been successfully carried out.

According to the technological regulation, the loading of the unit is carried out in stages.

The fifth power unit of the Kozloduy NPP operates in accordance with the electricity production schedule.
