Applied Education Academy "Sindeo" attracted funding from business angels

Applied Education Academy "Sindeo" attracted funding from private investors Svetlin Nakov, founder of "SoftUni" and entrepreneur Ivo Karlov. Sindeo is the first fully hands-on education academy aimed at teachers to help them gain up-to-date knowledge and apply it in their work. The organization will use the funding to develop a comprehensive new teacher training program, which will launch its pilot in October this year.

The comprehensive program for new teachers aims to provide the necessary practical knowledge and skills to anyone who wishes to teach in formal or non-formal education in Bulgaria. The training will be within 9 months, starting in October and continuing until June inclusive. The program will focus on building professional skills for planning, preparing a school year, managing the learning process within school hours, social and personal skills for self-awareness, working with students and parents, working together with management and teaching team, as well as on the technical skills for using digital technologies in an educational context.

Participants who complete the entire program will be prepared to begin their career path in the field of education. The best candidates will have the opportunity to start work in the schools that are partners of the Sindeo Applied Education Academy and have already expressed interest in hiring new teachers. Additionally, everyone will have the opportunity to acquire a teaching qualification at one of the universities with which the organization partners. The training program for new teachers will be conducted online, and the aim is to have the opportunity to include future teachers from smaller settlements, where the shortage of personnel in the field of education is the greatest. Upon completion of the program, Sindeo will commit to comprehensive support for new teachers within the first academic year to obtain a teaching license and deal with challenges during the learning process at school. The entire program is open for applications on the "Sindeo" website until September 16.

Starting its activity in 2023, "Sindeo" managed to attract the attention of more than 5,300 people who took part in their specialized courses and seminars. The trainings are conducted online and are available to all teachers in the country.

Sindeo courses are structured to be suitable for both current teachers and future education professionals. The trainings, led by experienced lecturers, include practical sessions and discussions that encourage mutual learning and enrich the participants' experience. The aim is to provide the necessary skills and tools that participants can apply immediately in their teaching practice.

Applied Education Academy "Sindeo" focuses on quality and effective teaching, emphasizing the applied aspects of knowledge and its application in real situations. The trainings are accredited and provide educational credits for maintaining and developing the teachers' professional qualifications.
