Rosen Karadimov held the first meeting of the Tripartite Dialogue Council under the Minister of Innovation and Growth
The first working meeting of the Trilateral Dialogue Council of the Minister of Innovation and Growth took place today. The Council was established by order of Minister Rosen Karadimov in order to advise the Minister of Innovation and Growth on issues related to the implementation of state policy in the field of innovation, technological and economic development and investment promotion and the country, according to his powers. Representatives of the five nationally represented employer organizations, the two national trade unions and the National Association of Municipalities in the Republic of Bulgaria participate in the Council.
"Our idea was to find a legitimate form for a transparent dialogue with employers' organizations, trade unions and the association of municipalities. It is a form of public control that ensures transparency and predictability. Business must have a view on the ministry's work and be our corrective," Minister Karadimov said during the meeting.
He emphasized that the Council for Tripartite Dialogue will consult the Minister of Innovation and Growth in the development of policies to stimulate the competitiveness of Bulgarian enterprises, the promotion of entrepreneurial activity and the development of innovative productions. It will also support activities within the Minister's mandate related to the transition of companies from Industry 4.0 to Industry 5.0, as well as the promotion of green technologies, the circular economy and the bioeconomy.
In addition to the role of the Council and the functions it will perform, the business programs of "Fund Manager of Financial Instruments in Bulgaria" (Fund of Funds) and Sofia Tech Park for the period 2024-2026 were presented for discussion at the meeting. Both programs are being worked on active in recent months.
The investment program of Sofia Tech Park is planned in the amount of BGN 12 million excluding VAT. The main projects under it are the upgrade of the Discoverer supercomputer, the construction of new first-class office space in the open spaces and the attraction of external investment in the field of education and others.
The medium-term objectives of the Fund of Funds until 2026 are to improve access to financing for final recipients from the private and public sectors through the successful implementation of financial instruments for the period 2021-2027 and reinvestment of the recovered funds from the period 2014-2020. Also, as well as upgrading the company's internal capacity and increasing operational efficiency, as well as digitalization of the Fund.
The meeting was also attended by the Deputy Ministers of Innovation and Growth Veselina Mincheva, Krasimir Yakimov and Prof. Georgi Angelov.
