The problems with technical inspections of cars took the head of the director of the "Automotive Administration"
Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev has dismissed the director of the Executive Agency "Automotive Administration" Borislav Muerov because of the difficulties with some cars during the annual technical inspections, it became clear during today's parliamentary control.
"Vazrazhdane" MP Angel Slavchev asked acting Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev when a working group will be formed to change Ordinance No. Н-32. "The other day, I signed the proposal of the Minister of Transport for the release of the executive director of the state automobile inspection," answered Glavchev from the rostrum of the National Assembly. He added that a working group is about to be created.
The Ministry of Transport and Communications confirmed to BTA that a procedure is underway to replace the agency's executive director (also known as DAI), who will be relieved of his duties as of August 5. However, the department did not indicate any reasons for the change in the agency's leadership.
We remind you that after the latest changes in the regulation on technical inspections, a number of cars could not pass a technical inspection due to deteriorated environmental indicators of the vehicles. Now obviously a new option and new changes in the regulation will be sought.
Since the introduction of the new MOT system, there have been numerous claims that there is a problem with the exhaust gas requirements and that is why many cars are failing the tests. "Vazrazhdane" announced that millions of cars are threatened with suspension and demanded an urgent change in the regulation according to which the inspections are carried out.
After the changes in the regulation, the GTP data is now sent automatically and electronically to the "Automotive Administration" and the passing of the examination is approved centrally. In case of deviation from the norms, the session of the car is terminated automatically, without the intervention of the employees at the points. The vehicle owner has a certain period of time to repair the damage and return for a new inspection without paying a second fee. When the regulation was put into effect, specialists commented that the lack of human intervention would make the inspections real and raise the level of the car fleet in Bulgaria."
Borislav Muerov is a long-time employee of the Ministry of the Interior. Before heading the "Automotive Administration" he held various management positions, including director of the OD of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Stara Zagora.
