"Bulgartel" has problems with its corporate page
The page of the state-owned telecom operator Bulgartel is partially compromised and lacks information in the News section. In the place of this section appear ads, probably pulled from some Internet search engine, all dated June 3rd. For the moment, this is the main visible bug that can be seen on the site of the telecom, part of the structure of the Bulgarian Energy Holding. The company is not one of the most famous in BEH, because of its specific activity of operating and maintaining the optical infrastructure of the state energy and gas companies. The company also works with a number of companies from the telecom sector throughout Southeast Europe. Bulgartel also has its own subsidiary operating in the Republic of North Macedonia. The headquarters of the company coincides with that of the state-owned "Kintex" in the city of Sofia.
This is not the first time that websites from the state energy sector have been compromised. Fake news about investments in the Bulgarian Energy Holding has been published on the internet for years. BEH even had to come out with a position that people should not trust such forgeries. Bulgartel has no profiles on social networks and rarely comments on its activities.
Whether the compromised page is the result of an external attack or oversight is currently unclear, as there are other signs of unfinished business on the site.
