The Commission for Energy and Water Regulation adopted a decision on the prices in the "Electricity" sector, which come into force from 1 July 2024 for the next one-year price period until 30.06.2025.

After taking into account all pricing elements and applying the pricing methodology, the Commission approved an average increase in the price of electricity for household consumers by 1.77%.

For customers of "Electrohold" the price increases by 3.10%, for EVN - by 1.85%, and for customers of "Energo Pro" it decreases by 0.49%. These prices include the prices for network services.

With the proposed minimal increase, electricity prices for household consumers in our country remain one of the lowest in Europe. Their determination for a period of one year ahead creates conditions for predictability and security of the expenses of Bulgarian households. In the last 10 years, there is no other price decision of the Commission in which the change in the average price of electricity was only 1.77%. The increase has always been higher - in 2023 it was 4.7%, in 2022 - 4.3%.

The average electricity price change of 1.77% is significantly lower than the inflation index over the past one-year period, as well as the inflation rate forecasts for the next one-year period.

Before the adoption of the price decision, the Commission held a public discussion on 13.06.2024, to which all interested parties were invited.
