New software tools will assist construction professionals in inspecting buildings before proceeding with their renovation. Various software platforms are now available, through which a detailed analysis of the current state of the building is made. On the basis of these analyses, it is actually calculated in an optimal way how exactly and which priority to replace in the building, so that people can live comfortably in it. This is of utmost importance in view of the new directive on the energy performance of buildings, which was recently approved by the EC. The aim is for all buildings in Europe to be zero-emission after 2030. This is a highly ambitious task given that it is increasingly difficult to find qualified personnel who can carry out energy renovation of the building. All these issues were discussed in detail by the specialists during the second day of energy efficiency and green energy, which was held in Burgas.

Today, special trainings are held for municipal specialists in the field of investor control, energy performance certificates, implementation of RES solutions. There is also a new special module called Smart Building Readiness Indicators that they will be developing first. The goal is for experts to have even more digital tools to help climate neutrality and building renovation. These products surpass the ideas for the current smart houses, which are still rare in Bulgaria.

Some of the experts also presented the possibilities of installing their own photovoltaic systems for their own use. Experts are adamant that today it is important that different software systems help people correctly judge when they can sell energy to the grid and when it is good not to spend, because of the high prices on the exchange.

Specialists from the Technical University in Sofia also showed visual examples of how a detailed map of different regions in Bulgaria can be created. Through the data collected from drones, it is established very precisely to assess which roof is the most optimal option to build a photovoltaic installation, for example.

In front of the conference hall, demonstrations of the latest construction materials, products and technologies are held during the two days as part of a specially organized product exhibition.

Yesterday, meetings were also held on the BUILDUPSkills project, which is related to professional education and the need for personnel in the construction sector. Vanya Tividosheva, director of "Professional Education and Training" at the Ministry of Education and Science, also participated in the online meeting. Specialists from the Chamber of Builders in Bulgaria, the National Agency for Vocational Education and Training - NAPOO, the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development and the Bulgarian Association for Insulation in Construction also presented their training opportunities.

On Saturday, the first energy community in the municipality of Burgas will be officially presented, as well as more details about the possibilities for inclusion in the project. Children can get acquainted with new, interesting satellite images of their hometowns, interesting games, children's agriculture with a cause and a number of other interesting initiatives are planned.
