A hacker group published the Roadmap for the construction of "Turkish Stream" in our country

The hacker group Bg Elves has revealed Russian correspondence, through which the road map for the construction of "Turkish Stream" in our country was published. This became clear from the communication of the group of white hackers and leaked documents in the international investigative community InformNapalm. "We gained access to the correspondence in question out of a total of 24,000 emails. When InformNapalm contacted us, they had played around for some time with keywords from the correspondence itself and pulled out those that mentioned Bulgaria, as well as specific names related to with the Bulgarian government". This was explained to Darik Radio by Petko Petkov from the Bulgarian online community of cyber security and disinformation experts "Elves" (Bg Elves).

He spoke more about the process of decoding information found in the InformNapalm investigation. The revelations are based on online correspondence of Yevgeny Zobnin - assistant to the Deputy Speaker of the Russian Parliament, Alexander Babakov, and concern the Turkish Stream gas transmission infrastructure from the Turkish-Bulgarian to the Bulgarian-Serbian border. In Bulgaria, the project is called "Balkan Stream" and was completed during the last administration of Boyko Borisov and Energy Minister Temenuzhka Petkova. Their names are reported in the correspondence of the deputies of the Russian Duma.

"In the e-mails themselves, there was not much written in the form of text, but it became clear who the correspondence was between. In the e-mails themselves there are attached encrypted files, and here is the function of the Bulgarian "elves", who, by means of various technical methods, caught certain patterns (note ed., translated from the English term "schemes", "models")", explained Petkov.

The expert added that after the "Elves" accessed the content itself, they were in for a surprise.

"The first portion that we saw a few days ago are a series of documents that show something like a presentation. In very detail, with visual graphics, they actually show the expectations of the Russian side and the performance, compared to their expectations of "Turkey Stream". They are written in detail natural persons, specific prices, deadlines, everything that was hidden from the Bulgarian public for a long time," said the expert.

While the online community was examining these documents at random, in one of the large arrays they saw an email that was described as a "roadmap".

"At its opening, we saw the Turkish Stream roadmap that everyone was looking for since 2017," said Petkov.

According to him, a number of investigative journalists were also involved in clarifying the information from the e-mail of Babakov's assistant, with whose help the "elves" compiled a chronology of the events surrounding "Turkish Stream", which will be presented to the public in a few days.

Petkov noted that an interesting item noticed by cyber experts yesterday evening was an email containing points that "should have been discussed".

"The 13th point states that the Bulgarian government is ready to build the pipe in question at its own expense. The date is September 2016, then it was already clear what was going to happen and everything else is covering people's eyes. It is directly mentioned Temenuzhka Petkova and the Prime Minister (then - note ed.) of Bulgaria Boyko Borisov. Businessmen close to Rumen Radev are also commented on, whom the Bulgarian side is trying to identify in order to collaborate with them on the part around the Serbian border," Petkov also said.

According to him, the correspondence also makes it clear that before the road map in question was voted on by the Bulgarian parliament, a person was mentioned, defined as a "key factor in the BSP".

"Boyko Borisov called the Russians and asked them to influence the BSP and pressure this person. The events that follow are that Kornelia Ninova visits Russia and after her return, the vote passes 100% with the votes of the BSP. We still don't know who this person is," said Petkov.

The road map itself was signed during the visit of Minister Temenuzhka Petkova to the St. Petersburg Economic Forum in 2017. According to the information of cybersecurity experts Petkova was literally "ordered" to sign the document, even though she expressed her concerns about it.

The scandal surrounding the search for the road map began shortly after the completion of the Balkan Stream gas pipeline, which aims to transport natural gas from Turkey in transit through Bulgaria to Serbia and Hungary.

The Bg Elves group tried to sell the document online for $16.5 billion. After no deal was reached, the document was published. The group of white hackers collects money to buy drones for the Ukrainian army.
