Schneider Electric, a leader in the digital transformation of energy management and automation, has won a prestigious award at the annual Employer Branding Awards. The company won second place in the Excellence in Coaching category for its long-term project "Sustainable Education with Schneider Electric", in which it cooperates with various universities in Bulgaria.

In 2023, Schneider Electric signed partnership agreements with higher education institutions in our country, with a special focus on the "Paisiy Hilendarski" PU in Plovdiv, where the company's Smart Factory in Bulgaria is also located. The particular project that won the prize was for the students majoring in Telecommunications with Management at the University's Faculty of Physics and Technology. For them, Schneider Electric specially created and runs two one-semester courses dedicated to "Lean" and "Energy Management".

Through the courses, students have the opportunity to visit the company's smart factory in Plovdiv, and in addition, they go through a full semester of training in each of the two areas with a lecture form of training and work on independent projects with expert trainers from Schneider Electric. The lectures, which are still being held at the moment, are delivered in the most important directions from a technological and business point of view, so as to give practical and applicable knowledge in a real environment. The total horary of lecture hours is 120, and the horary of hours devoted to project work is over 160. Schneider Electric also provides sample equipment with which students have the opportunity to work.

"Our aim with 'Sustainable Education with Schneider Electric' is to build a real connection between business and education, through which we can prepare future generations to enter the application of the scientific and practical skills acquired at the university. This program is an effective platform thanks to which the company transmits its experience, motivating its team to be actively involved in training and imparting knowledge to students," she added.

At the awards ceremony of the seventh edition of b2b media's Annual Employer Branding Awards, Schneider Electric was recognized among nearly 100 applications that competed for their achievements in the field of building and strengthening the image and popularity of the employer brand.

The "Sustainable Education with Schneider Electric" project is part of Schneider Electric's corporate social responsibility policy to invest in local communities, create a bridge between generations and exchange knowledge - both from experts to young talents and vice versa.
