Representatives of the management of EVN Bulgaria held informational meetings with the regional governors in South-Eastern Bulgaria
The focus of the company's activities in 2024 will be the development of the electricity distribution network and the digitization of customer services and work processes
At the beginning of January 2024, representatives of the management of EVN Bulgaria held informational meetings with the regional governors in South-Eastern Bulgaria, served by the distribution company Elektrorazpradelenie Yug, part of the EVN Bulgaria group. The meetings were attended by Kalina Trifonova, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of EVN Bulgaria and Engineer Zdravko Bratoev, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elektrorazpradelenie Yug.
Among the topics discussed were the preparedness of Elektroraspradelenie Yug for response in case of accidents in severe winter conditions, the provided high-terrain equipment and materials in places. In the last year alone, more than 130 units were delivered to the regional units. new emergency vehicles and specialized equipment.
The company has over 70 duty teams, a new modern dispatch center for network management, 3 regional centers for specialized equipment, 4 centers for cable laboratories. The company also has a Crisis Staff which, in winter situations, directs recovery activities by region.
Special attention was also placed on cooperation with local authorities in severe winter situations in order to coordinate efforts to restore power, especially in mountainous areas.
The main directions of investments in 2024 are aimed at further development of the distribution network in order to increase the security of power supply. In total, since the beginning of EVN's activity in Bulgaria in 2005, more than BGN 2 billion have been invested for more than 23,000 km of new electricity distribution network, new substations and development of customer service. 1.2 million electricity meters with remote reading have been installed. As a result of the investments, network losses have been reduced from 19.5% to below 7%. In addition, the company also implements important environmental projects, in which it secured 9,000 net posts for birds.
Emphasis was also placed on the digitization of customer services. In the customer portal of Elektrorazpradelenie Yug - "Online services" at www.elyug.bg, customers can perform online activities related to new connection to the network. For faster business service, the company opened 3 new offices - in Plovdiv, Burgas and Nessebar.
From October 2023 in Plovdiv, EVN opened a Center for sustainable services, which provides services in the field of energy efficiency, etc.
The purpose of the traditional meetings between EVN and the regional governors is to maintain the regular dialogue between the company and the local government.
