Minister Stoycheva signed a Memorandum for the development of innovations in health care
The Minister of Innovation and Growth, Milena Stoicheva, signed a Memorandum for digitization and development of innovations in healthcare with an emphasis on oncology care. The document was adopted during the national conference of the "Joint Oncology National Network" (JONN) and is a joint initiative of Minister Stoicheva and Minister of Health Hristo Hinkov. The ceremony at the Ministry of Innovation and Growth was attended by Asya Konsulova, founder and board member of JONN and Ivaylo Petrov, project coordinator of the national network.
The purpose of the Memorandum is to bring all stakeholders together to accelerate innovation in national oncology policies and to achieve progress and better treatment for patients.
"This initiative is of utmost importance for us to establish a partnership between all stakeholders for the development of innovation in healthcare. Through them, the quality and access to treatment of patients will be improved, and their care will become more personalized," Minister Stoicheva said at the signing.
“Our aspiration is collaboration, acceleration and sustainability in delivering innovation to citizens and patients. We call on all competent institutions and organizations to join it and to outline specific subsequent steps, measures, commitments and actions for the realization of the goals set in it," the Memorandum says. Emphasis is placed on teleoncology. A personalized approach to therapy calls for telemedicine technology health solutions that can easily coordinate patient experiences and orientation, navigate multidisciplinary care and adherence, the document says.
