BNEB informs about a public discussion regarding the abolition of the procedure for announcing a second auction on the "Day Ahead" market
The nominated operators of the electricity market (NEMO) initiated a public discussion regarding the possibility of removing the procedure for announcing a second auction on the "Day Ahead" market, BNEB reports. The procedure is applied in some auction zones during the market session when prices in one or more zones reach predetermined thresholds.
EMO participants in the Day Ahead market association are considering the possibility of eliminating this procedure, as it increases operational risks and does not bring the expected benefits to the market.
The discussion will continue until January 8, 2024.
