The "Energy Strategy of Bulgaria: Plan for Energy Security" conference, organized by MEP Tsvetelina Penkova, begins

MEP from the Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament Tsvetelina Penkova organized a conference on the topic "Energy Strategy of Bulgaria: Plan for Energy Security". This was announced by the press office of the MEP. The conference will be held today at 9:00 a.m. in the building of the National Assembly, the organizers announced. 3eNews and Dir.bg are media partners of the event.

"It is of fundamental importance for our country to build an independent, stable and reliable energy system. Joining forces and cooperation between state institutions, industry, academia, the non-governmental sector and trade unions are a guarantee of good long-term results for the country's energy policy and development us", said MEP Penkova before the event.

Invitations have been sent to the Speaker of the National Assembly, Rosen Zhelyazkov, the Minister of Energy, Rumen Radev, and the Minister of the Environment, Julian Popov. The conference is expected to be attended by representatives of all parliamentary groups in the 49th National Assembly and the executive branch, as well as trade union organizations, industry and academia.

The chairman of the Commission for Energy and Water Regulation Ivan Ivanov, the chairman of the Nuclear Regulation Agency Tsanko Bachiyski, the chairman of "Bulatom" Bogomil Manchev, Prof. Alexander Tasev from BAS, the chairman of "Eurohold" Asen Hristov and other experts have been invited as speakers.

Within the framework of the conference, it is planned to present Bulgarian innovations in the field of renewable energy sources, energy efficiency and sustainable practices and their application in industry and economy. Scientists and experts from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences will present Bulgarian innovations and developments to show the Bulgarian contribution to the green transition and energy transformation, added the press office of MEP Tsvetelina Penkova.
