The annual repair of the sixth unit of the Kozloduy NPP has started

From October 9, 2023, the annual scheduled repair of the sixth unit will begin at the Kozloduy NPP. The shutdown of the nuclear power has been coordinated with the Central Dispatch Office at "Electricity System Operator" EAD after a previously submitted application.

The successful implementation of the planned events is ensured with the necessary resources and qualified personnel. The repair will be carried out according to technological requirements and is expected to be completed by the end of November.

During the unit's downtime, the planned repairs, preventive maintenance and technical maintenance of the systems and facilities will be carried out, which will ensure safe and reliable operation and stable energy supplies during the autumn-winter period. In parallel, the planned activities related to the long-term operation of the nuclear power plant units will be implemented. The unit six reactor will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for the next 29th fuel campaign.

The fifth unit of the Kozloduy NPP operates according to the electricity production schedule.
