Bulgaria and Italy can continue to develop their cooperation in the energy sphere

Current issues related to the energy sector in Bulgaria and its development were discussed at the residence of the Ambassador of Italy H.E. Giuseppina Dzara. This was announced by the Italian embassy in Bulgaria. The discussion was attended by the official Minister of Energy Rosen Hristov, the chairman and members of the Management Board of Confindustria Bulgaria - experts in the energy sector.

During the meeting, special attention was paid to the ecological transition, the development of renewable energy sources and Bulgaria's aspiration to become a strategic hub for energy distribution in the region by expanding the production and distribution network. Finally, the possibilities for bilateral cooperation in the field of energy and the possibilities for Italian investments in the whole sector were discussed, also in view of the latest proposals at the EU level.

Ambassador Giuseppina Dzara also met today with the Deputy Minister of Tourism Mariela Modeva. They discussed at a meeting at the Ministry of Tourism the deepening of bilateral relations and concrete joint initiatives on projects in various formats - such as the World Tourism Organization, the European Commission and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development. The main directions in which they will work together were outlined - the digital transformation of the sector and the training of personnel in tourism.
