The Prime Minister Kiril Petkov will host the Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Olaf Scholz on Saturday, June 11. The two will hold a face-to-face meeting at the Council of Ministers, followed by a plenary session of the two delegations, the government's information service said.
The talks between Petkov and Scholz will focus on the possibilities for deepening bilateral relations, as well as current issues on the international and European agenda, including the challenges related to the war in Ukraine, energy security in Europe, European integration in the Western Balkans and others.
After the plenary talks, the two leaders will hold a joint press conference.
This is the first bilateral visit of Chancellor Scholz to Bulgaria. Before that, he will visit Kosovo, Serbia, Greece and the Republic of Northern Macedonia.
