Doubts about the way Bulgargaz has determined gas prices and whether every effort has been made to import the entire amount of natural gas to our country under the agreement with Azerbaijan are among the main reasons for the change of management of our gas company. This was explained to BNR by the executive director of the Bulgarian Energy Holding Ivan Andreev.
The decision to dismiss the board of Bulgargaz comes after the inspection to be carried out by BEH, Andreev explained:
"An inspection of the company was carried out, the report was presented to the board of directors of BEH and a decision was made for the sake of transparency to change the management so that all the facts concerning the inspection could be clarified."
"There are some facts that require the development of additional documents and partial policies in the company - pricing policy for example."
There are doubts that Bulgargaz has not priced correctly, he added.
"There is a lot of documentation, an external audit procedure will be launched by one of the major audit firms," Andreev added.
Regarding the new appointments and comments on social media, he noted that this is a decision of the entire board: "We are in close contact with the Ministry of Energy, which is our principal."
