An investment of BGN 19 million creates 70 new jobs in Sofia
The Swiss company is expanding its production base in Bulgaria, the new products will be exported to 10 countries in Europe
An investment of a Swiss company present for years in Bulgaria will create new jobs in Sofia. Today was launched the expansion of the production base in the capital of a Swiss company from the food industry. The planned investment amounts to about BGN 19 million. After the completion of the project, 70 new jobs will be created. In addition, the majority of the products that will be made in the new workshops will be exported to 10 countries in Europe. At present, the factory exports products to 35 countries around the world.
The Minister of Economy Daniela Vezieva, who was among the guests at the event, promised the ministry to support the company by issuing a certificate for the project. And he congratulated the management of the company that in times of pandemic and insecurity they continue to invest in Bulgaria and provide employment to more and more people.
"We encourage just such investors in industries with high added value and export orientation. It is a pleasure for me to find today another expansion of the company's production in Bulgaria", said Vezieva.
Besides her, the ceremony was also attended by the Ambassador of Switzerland to Bulgaria Raymond Führer, Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Pekanov, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Komitova, Sofia Mayor Yordanka Fandakova, Executive Director of the Bulgarian Investment Agency Stamen Yanev and others.
