NEK achieved energy savings of over 1 GWh
As a legal entity liable under the Energy Efficiency Act, NEK EAD was set a goal to achieve and prove to the Agency for Sustainable Energy Development (AUER) energy savings in final consumption for the period 2017 - 2019, amounting to 483 MWh. As a result of the numerous measures implemented by NEK EAD, the company achieved energy savings in final consumption amounting to 1,011.36 MWh - more than twice the set target. The savings were confirmed after AUER issued the necessary certificates, the National Electric Company announced.
AUER is the institution that monitors compliance with legislation in the field of energy efficiency. By issuing certificates for energy savings, the agency confirms the amount of energy savings as a result of the performed energy efficient services and other measures to increase energy efficiency.
