Three Key Junctions in Sofia Remain Blocked to Traffic on Day 35 of Protests
Late on Tuesday protesters demanding the resignations of Boyko Borissov's government and of the Prosecutor General again set up a tent camp on a busy junction in front of the Sofia University building. Two more junctions in Sofia remain blocked to traffic on Wednesday, which has led to the rerouting of some public transport lines.
A blockade in front of Varna City Hall has caused discontent in the tourism industry in that Black Sea city where seven public transport lines have been rerouted. The demonstrations are continuing in other Bulgarian cities and towns.
Protesters are calling in Facebook posts for blockades of key institutions, including the Palace of Justice and ministries.
