The companies in our country, operating in the field of transport, forwarding, warehousing and other similar services, also report a serious increase in average turnover compared to a year ago, although not as large as the already mentioned sectors. According to the published statistics in the second quarter of 2021 the turnover in the sector "Transport, storage and post" is 26.4% above the level of the same quarter of 2020. The largest growth was reported in "Water transport", where turnover increased by 41.1 percent, as well as in "Warehousing and handling of goods, ancillary activities in transport" - by 37.5%. However, a decrease in turnover is observed in the air transport sector - by 1.8 percent.
At the same time, the statistics show a serious increase in turnover for the sector “Creation and dissemination of information and creative products; Telecommunications ", which is 25.8% higher in the second quarter of 2021 compared to the same in 2020. The most significant increase is observed in" Film and television production, sound recording and music publishing "- by 81.1 %, and "Radio and television activity" - by 38.1 per cent.
In general, the services sector in the second quarter of this year reported an increase in turnover compared to the previous one. In the sector of travel agencies and tour operators again the largest growth is observed - by 18.6%. In second place are again the companies from the sector "Advertising and market research", whose turnover increased by 16.2 percent. However, a decrease was registered in "Security and investigation activities" - by 0.3%.
In the period April-June this year the overall turnover index for the Transport, storage and mail sector, calculated from seasonally adjusted data, increased by 0.9% compared to the first quarter of 2021. Growth was observed in most activities, the highest in Air Transport - by 17%, and "Water transport" - by 11.4%. A decrease was registered in "Postal and courier services" (1.7%).
The general turnover index for the sector “Creation and dissemination of information and creative products; Telecommunications "increased by 4.7% compared to the first quarter of 2021. The most significant increase was reported in Publishing (10.7%) and Information Services (8.8%). A decrease was observed in "Film and television production, sound recording and music publishing" - by 3.5%.
