A state hybrid private cloud will be launched in early July

In early July, the so-called State hybrid private cloud. The existing and new information systems of the central and municipal administrations will work on it at the moment, BNR reported. The system is important for the implementation of the so-called electronic management of administrative services. Such as the European funds management system, the unified tourist information system, the electronic public procurement system, which are already in the cloud.

The tests and uploading of the municipal systems are expected to be completed by the end of May. Trainings for the cloud administrators and the structures of the central and local administration are also starting.

The State Agency for E-Government points out that the cloud will be useful for large and small administrations in providing the necessary information and communication infrastructure for the e-services they offer to citizens and businesses.

The project envisages having a data center near Sofia, an Internet site and a data recovery center for disasters and accidents near Veliko Tarnovo.

The construction of the cloud continues in stages for 2-3 years.

In the summer of 2020, it was announced that BGN 54 million had been allocated. BGN 46 million are under European funding, and BGN 8 million - under national funding.
