The Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) supports the proposal of civil organizations to immediately start procedures for the election of bodies with expired mandates in order to overcome the institutional crisis. This was announced today by the BTPP through its "Infobusiness" newsletter.

On the website of the Institute for Market Economy (IME) is published an Address of non-governmental organizations to the people's representatives in connection with the upcoming procedures for the election of bodies with expired mandates.

As a non-governmental organization, the Chamber also insists that these procedures strictly adhere to the principles of publicity, transparency, objectivity, equality and predictability of selection. And more specifically to introduce the requirement that nominated candidates present a written and public concept for the management of the body. To ensure authentic competition, as well as the opportunity for professional and business organizations to nominate candidates directly.

The measures presented in the address will allow the current composition of the parliament not to crash into backroom negotiations and to continue its reform policy. We believe that the people's representatives will meet the public's expectations for an effective institutional infrastructure, the Court points out.

BCCI supports the proposal of the IME to organize the selection procedures in a reasonable time (minimum 3 months from the nomination to the selection) in order to give enough time to professional communities, media and civil society to familiarize themselves with the proposed nominations and their concepts.

The traditional partnership of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry rests on a common vision on key issues of the Bulgarian economy, and the honorary chairman of the institute - Krasen Stanchev, is a member of the Board of Directors of the chamber, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry reminds.
