The first companies in Bulgaria that will receive financing under the Recovery Plan are already 860, after the Ministry of Innovation and Growth (MIG) concluded another 80 contracts under the first procedure of the Plan - "Technological Modernization". Currently, under these contracts, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises from all regions of the country will be supported with a total of BGN 225 million. This was commented by the Minister of Innovation and Growth on the occasion of the conclusion of the new 80 contracts by the General Directorate "European Competitiveness Funds" (DG EFK).

We remind you that the signing, in stages, of the contracts with the total of 953 ranked companies began at the beginning of April. The data of GDEFC indicate that nearly 34,000 persons are employed in these enterprises. Meanwhile, the measure's budget was increased by over BGN 32 million, from BGN 260 million to BGN 292 million. This became possible after DG EFK to MIG gave up consulting assistance and redirected the resource to companies from the reserve list of approved and pending funding.

Thus, with the increased budget, it will be possible to support the first ranked companies from the reserve list under the "Technological modernization" procedure, commented the General Directorate.

MIG reminds that they can be used for the purchase of machinery, equipment, equipment and specialized software. The measure was primarily aimed at manufacturing companies – for medicines, medical devices and appliances, computers or optical materials, food, beverages, clothing, etc., but also companies that deal with waste collection or material recycling, film and television studios, radio stations, television and information agencies, companies with architectural, engineering, research and development activities, etc.

In the coming weeks, the signing of contracts will continue with the remaining 100 enterprises.
