Energy Minister Rosen Hristov held a meeting in Istanbul with the management of the Turkish state energy company Botash. It was organized as a result of the visit of the Bulgarian delegation, led by President Rumen Radev, to Turkey. This was announced today by the Ministry of Energy.

"Thanks to the talks and the good relationship between Presidents Radev and Erdogan, we can start negotiations on the systematic supply of gas from Turkey." This was stated by the energy minister at the beginning of the meeting with the general director of Botash Burhan Yozcan. The two also discussed opportunities for cooperation in the field of green hydrogen production and carbon capture and utilization. Working meetings at the expert level start from Monday.

We recall that President Radev met with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan two days ago at Vahdettin Palace in Istanbul. The heads of state united around the need for better cooperation between the two countries against migrant pressure and the protection of our common border. Even then, Rumen Radev thanked his colleague for the access to the liquefied gas terminals. It was the first emergency deliveries of blue fuel in April this year that were carried out through Turkish LNG ports.
