Bulgartransgaz already has an ISO certificate for an information security management system

At the beginning of 2021, Bulgartransgaz EAD implemented an information security management system. The system is integrated with the other management systems of the company and has undergone a full internal audit, which has established a very good level of compliance with the requirements of the system and standard ISO / IEC 27001: 2013. After a certification audit conducted in two stages by an independent accredited organization, the information security management system of Bulgartransgaz EAD was certified for compliance with the requirements of the standard, the gas operator announced.

The obtained certificate covers: Data security, commercial information, industrial systems and platforms, infrastructure and regulatory, management, security communication and information networks and resources in the transmission and storage of natural gas. The certificate is valid until June 2024 and will be confirmed after each control audit.

The activities for implementation and certification of the information security management system of Bulgartransgaz EAD were performed in the period May 2019 - June 2021, within the project № 2018-BG-IA-0134, co-financed by the Connection Mechanism of Europe (CEF) of the European Union. The total value of the project is EUR 188,841, of which EUR 141,630 is a grant under CEF, Telecommunications sector.
