The power line is one of the five key projects of common European interest, the implementation of which will increase by over 1000 MW the transmission capacity of the priority corridor "North-South". The construction of these projects will strengthen the network in Eastern Europe, in order to diversify supplies in the countries of the region, as well as the connection of new RES in Bulgaria, Romania and Greece, thus providing conditions for achieving European and national goals in the field of renewable energy and climate change reduction in the long run. The increase in cross-border capacity also directly affects the consolidation of the electricity markets in the region and the accession of Bulgaria to the common European energy market.

"We are fulfilling our commitments to investors in Bulgaria and creating the best possible conditions for them to expand their production. We are building a leading road infrastructure, guaranteeing security of electricity and gas supply "said the Prime Minister, while considering the expansion of the Targovishte West substation of the Electricity System Operator.

The management of the plant Shishedjam Automotive Bulgaria EAD expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Borissov and the government for the support provided to support the company's activities.

The Prime Minister stressed that the new gas pipeline diversion is nearby, which increases the capacity for transmission of the existing gas pipeline diversion "Targovishte".

The length of the new gas pipeline, which is extremely important for the business in the district, is 17.6 km, and the investment made in it by Bulgartransgaz amounts to over BGN 10 million.

"The new investments that will be made in the area required more electricity and more gas, and it is cheap. That is why we have made extensions for the provision of gas and electricity", Prime Minister Borissov was categorical and stressed that another commitment to the region has been fulfilled.
