The fifth unit of the Kozloduy NPP is being shut down for scheduled repairs

Today, the fifth unit of the Kozloduy NPP will be shut down for planned annual maintenance, the nuclear power plant announced.
The planned volume of activities includes preventive maintenance and repair, functional tests and inspections, specialized inspections and operational non-destructive testing.
The unit five reactor will be refueled with fresh nuclear fuel for the next fueling campaign. During the shutdown, projects related to increasing the safety and reliability of the nuclear facility during the period of long-term operation will be implemented.
The annual renovation of the fifth block is planned to last until the beginning of June.
The sixth unit of the Kozloduy NPP is operating according to the electricity production schedule.
