Bulgaria and Germany will deepen their cooperation in the field of dual education and in the development of work-based training programs to be implemented in our country. This was discussed during a meeting of the Minister of Economy and Industry Nikola Stoyanov with Jürgen Friedrich, Executive Director of the German Economic Development Agency (Germany Trade & Invest), Michael Blank, General Manager of Senior Experten Service and Armin Schwimbeck, Head of Department "Europe and Fairs" in the Ministry of Economy, Regional Development and Energy of Bavaria.

"The main priority for the Bulgarian economy is to overcome the shortage of qualified staff and reduce youth unemployment," said Minister Stoyanov. He added that it is quite logical for Bulgaria to borrow its experience from the countries that have achieved the most in this field. In this regard, the holding of a joint event in our country with business and representatives of Germany, Austria and Switzerland was discussed. In its framework, the good practices in each of these countries and their possible application in Bulgaria will be discussed. Nikola Stoyanov also presented an initiative for greater advocacy of dual education in Bulgarian state enterprises.

During the meeting it became clear that there is an increasing interest from German companies entering our market to train their workers at their headquarters in Germany. On the German side, they emphasized the high level of specialists working in the "Information and Communication Technologies" sector and stated that their knowledge and skills are at the world level.

Within the framework of the meeting Senior Experten Service, which is a leading volunteer organization in Germany, presented their activities to Minister Stoyanov and emphasized the possibilities of applying their experience in Bulgaria. SES is an organization with 12,000 experts from all professional fields and has implemented projects in 170 countries to date.

The meeting was attended by Dimitar Danchev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Industry, Moritz Seiler, Head of the Economic Department at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and Mitko Vassilev, Chief Manager of the German-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
