The supercomputer will provide a tremendous opportunity for automobile manufacturers, medicine and construction industry in Bulgaria, Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said after a meeting with EU Commissioner for Digital Economy and Society Mariya Gabriel and the Director General of DG Connect Roberto Viola, Focus News Agency reports.
Prime Minister Borissov said Bulgaria will invest millions together with the EC. “We are giving investors a workplace that will work 24 hours a day. […] These machines perform 4 billion operations per second. This will provide a tremendous opportunity for automotive manufacturers in Bulgaria as it will be possible to test every detail with millions of variations. Bridges on highways and buildings will also be tested, the entire construction industry. Not to mention medicine - especially vaccines. Tremendous opportunities. We will give a job to everyone who wants it," Borissov said, adding that such machines are not available anywhere in Eastern Europe.
"This gives Bulgaria a whole new role in the field of innovation and new technologies. Anything can be tested," the prime minister also said.
