Bulgargaz predicts a new cut in natural gas from November

The public gas supplier "Bulgargaz" proposes to increase the price of natural gas from November 1. The forecast is that the blue fuel will cost BGN 278.83 per megawatt hour before taxes and excise.

In fulfillment of the requirements of Art. 36a of the Law on Energy, "Bulgargaz" EAD informs its customers that the estimated price of natural gas for the month of November 2022, formed in accordance with Art. 17 of Ordinance No. 2 of 19.03.2013 on the regulation of natural gas prices, is BGN 278.83/MWh (excluding prices for access, transmission, excise duty and VAT) or 142.56 EUR/MWh, calculated according to the fixing of the BNB.

The increase is 12.45% compared to the gas price for October, which is expected to be BGN 247.96/MWh.

The price is formed on the basis of estimated values ​​of the pricing components as of 09/12/2022.

For comparison, the prices on the European gas markets on 12/09/2022 for delivery in November are approximately EUR 205/MWh.

A final proposal to approve the price of natural gas for the month of November 2022 will be submitted to EWRC on 01.11.2022, taking into account the quotations of the pricing components as of 31.10.2022, the company specifies. This means that the final price for consumers will be clear in the first ten days of November.
