Minister Emil Karanikolov: A large South Korean company is exploring Bulgaria for investment
One of South Korea's largest companies is currently exploring Bulgaria and two other countries for an investment of more than EUR 1.5 billion, Minister of Economy Emil Karanikolov told reporters, Focus News Agency special correspondent reported.
The minister refused to reveal the names of the potential investors. "We are talking about batteries for electric cars. They can be for a number of companies. The company, which is interested in Bulgaria, works with all major companies," he added. In Karanikolov's words, when it comes to investments, transport infrastructure is a key factor:
“Any company, including those that are exploring Bulgaria at the moment, want infrastructure. That is why Bulgaria allocates such a large budget for infrastructure,” the minister added.
