Jordanian Business Interested in Developing Stockbreeding in Bulgaria
Lumbering and fisher resources are also among the sectors offering good conditions for investments, agriculture minister
The Jordanian investors stated their interest in buying farmland and building a logistics centre in Bulgaria for export of livestock and agricultural produce to Jordan and the Arab world. Naydenov said that food production and export are a priority of the Bulgarian Government.
He noted that there are still fallow lands and pastures in Bulgaria that can be subject to long-term investment. The Agriculture Minister stressed that Bulgaria has significant water resources, and that a strategic investor is needed for state company Irrigation Systems that manages over 200 dams in the country.
Lumbering and fisher resources are also among the sectors offering good conditions for investments, Naydenov said. A big Jordanian delegation is expected to visit Bulgaria next month to negotiate investments in various sectors of Bulgarian agriculture.
