Railway Infrastructure Company is working on railway connection with Kavala, Alexandroupolis ports

The two countries are to apply for the funding of the feasibility study, which will continue for a total of 18 months

Leading experts from the National Railway Infrastructure Company participated in a working meeting for the implementation of a project under the Trans-European Transport Network (TEN-T) and the construction of a combined corridor between the Greek ports of Kavala and Alexandroupolis and the Bulgarian Black Sea ports of Bourgas and Varna, the company told BTA.

 

The meeting was initiated by the Greek port administrations and is supported by the Greek Ministry of Development. The idea is that the two sides conduct a survey with funds provided by TEN-T.

 

The two countries are to apply for the funding of the feasibility study, which will continue for a total of 18 months. The next working meeing is scheduled for March 16.
