Bojidar Danev, Executive President of the Bulgarian Industrial Association (BIA), died on Monday aged 78. The business organization said: "BIA lost its symbol, the man who dedicated his whole life, intellectual and emotional energy, to building a better and fairer society."
A graduate of the Technical University of Sofia, Danev gave lectures in Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Britain and the United States, among other countries. He joined BIA's predecessor as an expert in the Economic Analysis Department in 1980. He was elected vice president in 1989, chairman in 1993 and executive president in 2011.
